The
Go Greener Eliminate Plastic Bags Committee is part of the City of West
Lafayette Go Greener Commission initiative to increase awareness of
environmental issues related to events in the area.

We are
the Eliminate Plastic Waste committee of the West Lafayette Go Greener
Commission. Our goal is to educate the public about the issue of
single-use plastic and plastic waste. We plan events, give
presentations, and look for ways to be greener.
We organize the annual Day Without
Plastic Bag event to inform the
public about the harmful effects of disposable plastic bags and
encourage use of reusable bags. At this event we hand out free reusable
bags which are kindly donated by community businesses.
